The Big 75!

Anita, David’s mom, had her 75th birthday yesterday. I wish we’d been able to celebrate more but we were only able to muster dinner out. Seems like birthdays barely get a hurrah around here any more! I must work on that…

She picked The Plaza, a mexican food restaurant. They have a new owner and a new building, so it was like going to a new place for all of us but her. Of course, she had been there before. She LOVES mexican food! They do a birthday sopapilla there, along with a birthday song by the waiters. I videoed it on my phone for your enjoyment. Pardon the terrible video skills and lousy quality cell phone picture.

AND, we have cool air circulating through our house! Danny's a one-man-show, so David stayed home to help. It took them ALL DAY LONG to get the work done, but it is wonderful to have air conditioning again! Not an hour after it was finished, we left to take Anita to dinner. The suburban started making a terrible noise, so we took it back home and switched cars. David said if we hurried, we could spend the rest of our money before the night was through. :( When it rains, it pours.
